In order to commemorate my releasing my new Shana figure from her box, I have decided to make a wallpaper for my desktop:
You can download it here. Enjoy it, all you lolicons, pedobears and Shana fans!

OMFG... Too many negi's running around on my computer. Luckily it's a quad core or else...... Thanks to umehiko for the great app XD. BTW you can get it here: T3h Love
Finally done with my computer. It took forever for the parts to arrive, especially the 8800GT which gave me immense amounts of headaches when it came to dealing with the ultra-stingy shopkeepers. -.-; Make sure you do not buy from any shops owned by Chinese people, even if it means there are lots of them around and they sell stuff at supposedly dirt cheap prices which are actually miles above the actual cost prices. >.>
When work gets in the way with your usual anime-loving life, you know you need a break and start doing things that you like. Last month I secured a figure that should by then have been extremely hard to find since production has stopped and its made by Max Factory. Yeah, the 1/8 Shana that I was eyeing ever since I was a child. (Okay maybe not) So I decided to commemorate the completion of my new PC to open up the Shana box and give her a bit of a modelling session. This will be relatively educational for all those of you who haven't gotten your hands on this figure yet. Make sure you do not regret for the rest of your lives. Pictures after the jump...

Frankly I was amazed at what I saw when I clicked on a link absent mindedly like I always do when I chat on mIRC. It was a voice actor that I personally have never heard about that spoke during a convention about the quasi-sensitive topics of scanlations and fansubs. First of all, I'll say that I do download fansubs and scanlations and I do fansub. Before this I had the dimmest idea of the situation that was going on in the anime world and businesses that were involved in the creation, preparation and distribution of anime in Japan and worldwide. This made me question some ethics most of us were going by. The question of ethics becomes a serious issue in terms of sustaining the world of anime we all know and love when the businesses that depend on the distribution of anime are losing money because of it. That said, the videos are available after the jump so 56k'ers may not appreciate having a whole lot of flash videos thrown at them so I'll say this first. Don't click if your pipe can't take it. There are 18 videos here cut up by topic from youtube for your convienience.
I CANNOT believe I didn't notice earlier. OMG! I can't believe this. Princess Tsun is gonna be back! XD Hail Zero, for she comes liek a thief. I didn't think very highly of the past two seasons but the drama and Zero's tsunness more than make up for whatever story the show has (or lacks thereof). We love tsun... we love tsun... we love tsun...
I never noticed this before, so I guess I'm a little late. But Wow I didn't know the koreans ripped the Japanese off too. I wonder what the lyrics are.
After finishing ef I finally discovered how lame an ending can be, and how much effort an anime studio can put in to impressing people and ultimately fail. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed this show while it lasted, and I believe it is one of the few shows that have left a lasting impression with me as being "not as bad as it really is". I always had my reservations when I knew SHAFT was going to be doing an anime adaptation of a hentai game. Somehow I had the feeling that it was going to be somewhat similar to the style used in Negima!?. However, the animators took it one step further and used many art styles and tried many tones and expressions of space in the animation. I say they "tried" because this anime seems more of an artistic experiment more than anything else. An attempt to try out new and random ways of portraying the characters and the mood in the show, and to gauge its effectiveness in immersing the viewer in the show. I feel that they have succeeded in some, and failed in others. Sometimes the show gets pretty nice, because the effects somehow immerse the viewer into the mood. Sometimes its just plain random. Of course, beauty is in the the eyes of the beholder.
Well, it's that time of year again. Most people have a love/hate relationship with this day, for many and varied reasons. Some hate spending today alone, others wish it could last forever because they are finally left alone. Humans are truly intriguing. Although social beings we may be, sometimes culture and seasons demand change, and sometimes it's Christmas that demands the most change.
It seems almost supernatural to think that during this day, 90% of the people in the world stops in their lives completely and celebrates/does something different. While there must be some essence and reason into why this day is so special, the fact of the matter is that it is one (if not the only) of the very few special days that the entire civilized world observes at the same time.
For those of you who are spending Christmas alone, don't worry you're not alone. Hundreds, nay thousands of people are still sitting in mIRC chatting about random stuff. If you feel like it, pop over. As for me, I'm off to a little party. So see you all and have a Merry Christmas!
*runs off with Christmas lights still tied to his feet.
Alright. Forget what I said about the new 3rd gen iPod Nano being fat and stupid. If it can let me bring my Tomoyo and Kyou around, its FRIGGIN AWESOME. Watching CLANNAD videos on an iPod is so sweet because it's aspect ratio is ACTUALLY 3:4! Which is very very iPod friendly indeed. Getting the episodes on to the iPod was a chore but hey, it was ALL WORTH IT.
Doing it isn't hard really, it was the part where I had to figure it out. Anyway, if you want to learn, I wrote some instructions here. You need Linux though.
