This is not something you DON'T blog about the moment you see it. Yes. It's friggin' weird. But at least they did a good job doing the scenes, except the boys were... well... out of place. The dancing, well it does feel a little unenthusiastic to say the least. They could have made it livelier. Also, whats with LOL Fang sensei having black hair!? It should be YELLOW. Anyway, I'd really like to see someone try harder XD.
Alright. So I was walking by ineser's room today and heard some "dungam gundam" sounds and decided to check it out. Looks like he got his hands on some new anime again. However, this one was pretty special. For one thing, its got a really *cough*catchy name. I mean, (I'm gonna rant now) WTF IS KISS DUM!? When I first heard the name I was like LMAO and ROFL and OMGWTFBBQ and all the abbreviations related to surprise, shock and strangeness. I'm gonna jump the guy who gave that name to an anime I mean seriously... before I heard that I thought Manabi Straight was a bad name, or Hidamari Sketch or something like that, but seriously this one jumped right to the top of my WTF list. I guess an era is coming where all anime will have at least one English, or European word in it. Continue reading »
It's been a while since I wrote about an anime character, so I decided to write about one that I am currently watching about. Yes. Its Shana. As in Enpatsu Shakugan no Shana. Actually, this description is misleading as she is only known as the girl with burning hair and eyes when she activates her powers. Her hair is originally black and her eyes a very dark dull green. She is the main character in the anime Shakugan no Shana. The name Shana is given to her by Sakai Yuji, the male lead of the series after her sword, Nietono no Shana. Continue reading »
Woot. I managed to waste a whole day playing C&C3 again. I got C&C3 like a short while after it came out but I didn't enjoy it due to Vista eating up every single bit of my computer's processing power leaving crap for the game. Thus, after I upgraded to XP, I decided to try it out today and omg I was stuck. I even forgot to get screenshots till now. BUT! I have screenshots right here of the 4th GDI mission fighting the Scrin. Yes. The new Alien race in Command and Conquer 3. OMG they are nothing like the GDI and Nod. "Well, at least you knew the Nods were human" - some GDI soldier during the scrin mission.
I could imagine how terrified they had been when they saw the Scrin bugs walk around in more than 3 legs. Strangely they don't hide the names of the units, so when the soldiers were freaking out asking "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?" someone else replied "Like hell I know!", and all I had to do was click on it, and woo... Devastator Warship. How nice. I wish I could ask them to click on it too and they'll know the name too.
OMG the gayliens are attacking my base. Shoo fly!
Don't ask me what those are. I never bothered. They look like flying waterskis with lasers.
"I am BIG"
I like big guns a lot. They make killing so much easier
Finally, the holidays. The weekend was admittedly, wasted on LAN parties and outings. Phew. My holidays however, are pretty much pseudoholidays. Which means that I still gotta do lots of work, but I've got a bit more free time to myself now. I'm sure most uni students feel the same way about midterm breaks. Come to think of it, I'd rather be doing work than bore myself away with useless stuff like games. Well, for one thing, I get to do stuff I was constantly thinking of doing during the busy assignments week and now I actually get the time, so I've done another banner for the site. See if you're lucky enough to notice it. Don't bother refreshing the site too often. wp-cache works quite well to prevent you from constantly pulling images off the server that you already have. Anyways, expect consistent posts once again, coz my timetable during holidays are most unlikely to get messed up.
As promised, here are some of the references made in Hayate no Gotoku Episode 10, as a result of Hata Sensei's storytelling. Referencing of this magnitude in this series is unprecedented and warrants a double post on the same episode. I ain't an otaku like Konata to the point where I could sing some "Masked Man"-style old Japanese intro song to some obscure anime, but I am able to point out at least some of it after some amount of research. A big thank you goes to ineser and randomc for helping me point these out! Continue reading »
This episode can be summarized in one word: Random. Are the guys at Shogakukan and TV Tokyo trying to imitate Shaft!? I mean, references to other anime once in a while is okay, but omg. Alright. Its fine by me but Hayate no Gotoku doesn't seem like the kind of anime which does so many references to other shows. Interestingly however, I found it strangely funny at the time I watched it. At times lame, and at sometimes confusing. Oh well. Today is Tabletier's birthday party so I'm gonna have to write this review tomorrow. Check back again for some of the interesting highlights of the references made in Hayate no Gotoku EP 10! Meanwhile, feast your eyes on our beloved Student Council President Hinagiku!
Alright. I didn't have much time to blog about this but, ITS HERE!!! For the very first time, I bought something from overseas. I never really trusted online commerce, but I decided to give it a little try anyway, so I went down to Amazon.
So basically, the first thing I looked for, as an otaku in the making was DVDs. Unfortunately, their price tags (given the number of episodes on each of them) were so large they could burn holes in my pocket. I went over to the soundtracks then, and saw quite a few things I liked. So I ordered.
Several days later the dreaded software assignment came and sucked a few days out of my life. Fortunately as soon as all that toiling ended, a very very welcome knock on the door occured at 6.30 am.
THEY ARE HERE!!!!
Good things come to those who wait and omg I waited for many many weeks for this to get here. I ordered in April. And it was just wonderful. I jumped in and immediately tore the package up and saw the very things I ordered lying inside
1 Motteke! Serafuku CD
1 Hayate no Gotoku!
1 Proof no vain
1 Love2Para Remix CD
Sunday was one cool day. Actually, it was a day when I managed NOT to do anything ^^; I'm so proud of myself. Okay fine I did something on Sunday. It was dinner at Tony's Teppanyaki with my Legion of Mary Praesidium. Ineser went too. Woot. Yes you got it right. Its 鉄板焼き. We were celebrating the birthdays of 4 people, 3 of whom were priests. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!. OH any I should slip in a shout out to my friend and coursemate Tabletier. HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 U 2!!! May your days be full of joy and less assignments to do! Anyway, back to the Teppan. I don't get to eat stuff like this very often. It is proof that extracurricular activities are GOOD FOR YOU. Thus, You should join a club. Preferably the SOS Brigade.
I really regretted not taking a camera with me, so I was pretty sad when I wanted to take the signboard for all to see. I'll post it up later when I get it. But, for now, lets just dive into the juice shall we? Continue reading »
Just as the title says... I have my life back! YAY! Software Assignment Kanryou! And me and friends went to Osakaya to have dinner today. I treated myself to a large helping of Teriyaki Chicken and Pork Okonomiyaki. Wonderful stuff. I was too busy eating and my camera was at home so I didn't manage to take photoes. Sorry! But here's a nice big image of Fate Testarossa to get you guys worked up while I go catch up on 2 days of sleep.
