When I first started watching Toradora I thought all it was was just another moe flick like Hayate no Gotoku with no real story or another novel adaptation that was just made to sell merchandise licenses with like Zero no Tsukaima or a failure of an anime with a rushed ending like Shana (and ZnT). Contrary to my expectations, it turned out to be really good. And its not just good because it exceeded my very low expectations for it, but it was good because it actually impressed me more than CLANNAD, which was made by the gods at KyoAni itself. It turns out even commoners can shine.

After a long day at work, coming back home to a nice little episode of Index is pretty relaxing and helps get my mind off things for a while. Worrying too much is never good for a person. Though, one must still worry once in a while. Index, my favorite character of this series is back again with lots of funny antics. It almost seems as if she was from the past in this episode. I'm sure even the carmelite sisters these days know how to operate a vending machine.

If there's one type of girl that has garnered an incredible amount of fandom in the anime audience nowadays, its the short, flat-chested tsundere girl. (Tsundere is an article on wikipedia, for those of you who want to know more) Somehow this type of girl has become so popular, it has become a must-have ingredient in the comedy anime genre that a significant number of anime have become runaway successes simply by exploiting the very antics of an insecure, short-tempered, egoistic girl with a childish voice, in short, tsundere. Of all the voice actors giving life to these girls, Kugimiya Rie is arguably one of the most famous seiyuu to ever play the part of these girls' souls. This is for all of you who still aren't seiyuu aware either because (1) you skip the OPs and EDs (2) you can't read Japanese, and just don't bother.

It almost seems fateful that I was exposed to Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu just after I wrote my last post about Otakuism. After watching episodes 1 to 4 of it, it seems clear to me now why there has been an explosion of Nogizaka posts across the blogosphere. Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu depicts a world where otakus are made fun of and jeered at in general societies such as school. The main protagonists, Nogizaka Haruka and Ayase Yuuko, two highschool students live in such a world, and as a result of relationships and plain old clumsiness, fall victim to the anti-Otaku society that they live in. I'm not a resident of Japan so I'm not sure if the situation is that extreme there, I certainly hope not. Alright, time for the Nogizaka Haruka jump-in-and-join-the-fun-superpost. Warning: This post is long and filled with spoilers

After watching Macross Frontier 15, I think that my suspicions that the Vajra attacks on Frontier is a conspiracy are confirmed. It seems there are perpetrators roaming the space between Frontier and Galaxy, and that the past distress communications, skirmish with the battleship from Galaxy, close encounters and the yellow-haired pretty boy were all pawns in a massive game of chess played by a bunch of wizards in Galaxy. It just begs the question... why? Why all the plans? Why all the effort to bring danger to Macross Frontier, the closest humans have come to towards the center of the Galaxy?
