A while ago I managed to get my hands on a Suzumiya Haruhi no Tomadoi game package that included a figma. Due to the fact that it was so hard to get, I felt hard pressed to open it. But I decided that it would be as good as a paperweight if I didn't get to play with it and just looked at it so I finally tore open the shrinkwrap and took her out.

Haruhi's gotten impatient waiting for the drumset to arrive, so she ordered the SOS brigade into practice mode.

Haruhi seems to be practicing her music hard out now after watching K-ON several times over. I feel worried. Shouldn't she be sitting quietly and looking pretty like other ordinary figmas?
I just got my hands on two new figmas. These are Haruhi and Mikuru as Cheerleaders. The figmas turned out to be moderately exciting when I opened them. They are more like an incremental update to the existing Haruhi line of figmas. But updates are always good since they make all sorts of new possibilities for photocomics.

And so I've completed my Kyonko figma. It actually came as a surprise to me that although there were lots of figma mods out there, few mods were actually Kyonko mods. Its surprising because it's so easy to do. I've also realized that becoming a figma modder isn't anything special, but rather the next step after being a figma collecter. It makes sense, since the whole point I became a figma collector was because I loved this stuff. Anyway, it turns out the brown paint for the hair wasn't as dry as I thought it was, and I should've let it cure a bit longer. Perhaps after this I'll repaint the hair to get a more lasting finish.
After long lengths of procrastination, I have finally decided to open my Evil Witch Nagato Figma. I know I am HORRIBLY late on this, but what's a man to do? This package has proven itself to be one of the most interesting and most fun figma sets I have ever acquired. For one thing, it is PACKED with all manner of accessories, something relatively rare among the figma series.

Not too many posts ago I said that I got a Konami Haruhi figure. That's right. Konami. Thus breaking my tradition of only getting stuff from Max Factory. However, the selling point of this figure was actually the furniture that came with it. If it was just the figure I probably wouldn't have even bothered. They actually used a drawing on the front of the box. Doesn't say much about their confidence in the product.

I'm sure everyone has already warmed up quite nicely to Kadokawa's youtube airing of their short series Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuuutsu. To be honest, I think the comical and sktechy approach to it is a very nice change to KyoAni's magical production, and Haruhi being depicted as being clumsy and rushy is gaining popularity with me. Also, the OP (Imamade no Arasuji) is catchy too, and I am just a sucker for good OPs. And with Great OPs comes Great Lyrics. Lyrics after the break. (Don't get me wrong. The animators are STILL KyoAni)

I have managed to get my hands on more figmas this season. This is actually last month's news, but I couldn't live with myself if I didn't make the effort to at least make a post on it. So here we go!
